Tape Hair Extensions...
Hey everyone, welcome to Azul Hair Collections website. I'm glad you're here and I'm glad you're listening to our podcast. Occasionally we like to just get on the microphone and spilled the beans about what's going on with hair, give you some tips and tricks and so forth. So stay tuned. Today we have a new topic.
Okay, let's get to it. So, um, what I'm going to talk about today is clip in hair extensions. Excuse me, I meant tape hair extensions. Got It all mixed up here :-).
I love hair extensions. I'm always talking to hairstylists and networking online with different people who are here hair enthusiasts like myself. Just trying to understand the latest trends, tips, tricks, techniques, and a question that I get a lot of the times and we actually end up conversing a lot about is, uh, are these tape in hair extensions. So tape in hair extensions are basically wefted hair with tape on top.
Every Day Use...
And depending on how much little are used a lot, it was sometimes difficult to get out of your hair, so you were ripping out literally pieces of your hair when you took it out, if you didn't use the right techniques. So a lot of people started steering away from putting the glue directly on their hair. They decided to start using wig caps to glued on to do quick weaves and so forth are molding the hair and using some kind of protecting coating before gluing it in. So, you know, that was a better alternative.
However, just like with the tape hair extensions, there's some kind of adhesive that is going directly on your hair. And I'm with hair extensions, of course, we love to style it, put him half up, half down, change the part, put it in a ponytail. That's a lot of stress to be putting on your hair, especially with glue that gets entangled with your individual pieces of hair.
My Final Thoughts...
So it's kind of a no for me in the sense of I wouldn't want to risk losing or breaking off my hair because of this adhesive directly on my scalp and directly in between, you know, my hair's in between these two pieces of tape. It is on a tape, but it's still a certain type of adhesive glue and you have to be careful with that.
Also too, it's a not such a desirable option for me because I like to be active so I'm in the water a lot. I'm sweating my hair out. I washed my hair and my hair extensions usually two to three times a week. Um, so I'm a heavy user of hair extensions and I can't imagine that that tape can hold in water very well. And also with multiple washes also too, it'd be afraid that my hair would tangle with these taped in hair extensions as well.
A Good Option, Actually...
So I feel like, you know, it's a really good option if you have an event to go to or you're trying to get a specialized look for an occasion, like if it's your wedding or so forth. I think that's really a good option.
However, for daily use, um, if you're a high, you know, wearer of hair extensions, which I think most of our customers are. We wear hair extensions on a daily basis. Um, I don't think that this is a good option, so that's my take on it.
I would love to hear what you all have to say. If you've tried tape hair extensions, what your experience was, I would love to hear more about it. So comment below. Send me an email if you're not comfortable commenting, but I would love to hear more and let's start a conversation about this.
